The snow is blowing and it's mighty cold out -- down around zero when I took the photo in the blowing snow. 11 below zero at 6 a.m. on Friday -- and even worse with the wind chill factor!
I shot this from my unheated back porch -- not quite as cold there and out of the blowing snow.

Why don't you invite your friends in the photo in from the cold, they look such deer things.
ReplyDeleteFunny, your friends look very unaffected by the cold! I can't believe all of the wildlife you get - I am very envious!
ReplyDeleteBrrr! You sure captured the chill in the air!
ReplyDeleteYou're awfully dedicated to go out and take pictures when it's that cold out!
ReplyDeleteNan, that was taken from inside -- my unheated back porch. Out and back in quickly!
ReplyDeleteMy neighbor took some pictures of me last year, however, out shooting in a blizzard, but this morning I took out the garbage and it's so cold my fingertips were numb in minutes even with gloves on!
This photo depicts the theme perfectly. Great photo, but get back inside before you get frost bite.
ReplyDeleteBrrrrrr! What a great shot! It's nice to have the deer so close...they make such nice subjects!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo with the birdseed in midair.
ReplyDeleteThat pcture makes me feel REALLY grateful for our woodstove!
ReplyDeleteThat is an excellent photo for this theme! No need to risk frostbite for the challenge, though! ;-)
ReplyDeleteEvery day when I see what the weather is, The mid west seems to be the target. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteLast week I had about 25 wild turkey's by my bird feeder. But they spooked before I could get a shot.

As a gardener I think of deer as big eyed pests but this made me feel a little sorry for them, nice shot.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful picture of the dear and the blowing snow. It's really interesting to see all the interpretations of this theme as many of us are caught in the extreme cold this week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place to live...having all that wildlife on your doorstep like that! Magnificent!
