When the public school took over my grandson Gregory's education they bought him this walker and let him pick out the color. Well it was purple of course! That was his favorite color at the time -- maybe it still is. Anyway, the school keeps the pacer when school is in session, but they send it home with him on weekends and vacations. He's grown so much that this is almost too small for him. I wonder what they'll do for next year... So this is Gregory's "purple pacer" -- that's what he calls it. It has soft bumpers to keep from destroying the house, but he's learned to control it fairly well and he can go from one room to another without help -- usually.
Now that is purple! And Gregory looks so happy!

ReplyDeleteWhen I was a young boy, due to an illness, I had to wear leg braces and walked like a robot. No one knew if I would ever walk and the system was not all that comfortable with me. I am so glad to see that times have changed.
