Kayla does like to pose for the camera!
She was backlit and there was distracting stuff criss-crossing the background so I cleared off the background in photoshop to just focus on the little flirt in pink.
And I just applied a spotlight to her face. I think I like this version better.

How did you extract all those feathers so nicely? (I have PSE) Nice take on the theme, and, of course, Kayla is adorable.
ReplyDeleteThere that cutie is again - she could be a little model - so adorable (especially in that pink boa)! This is really cute!
ReplyDeleteLinda, what I selected was the background. It was blown-out snow seen through the window with Gregory's pacer behind her as well. The blown-out snow and the definite lines of the pacer were easy to select -- and feather. Then I covered the selection with an off-white from another part of the photo.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she could get into some modeling So cute. I like the 2nd version it has a little more softness to it and I like the light on her face.
ReplyDeleteLove both pictures. She is so cute with the pink boa. :)
ReplyDeletePink dress, pink boa and beautiful blue eyes.
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture!
This is darling. I like #2 better - the facial spotlight adds a little something special.
ReplyDeleteA cutie indeed and happy too it seems. I like the spot, good job on removing the distractions.
ReplyDeleteShe looks perfectly angelic! I think the spotlight could pass for a halo! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat pair of wonderful pictures. I think Kayla is a born "Ham".(meaning photogenic of course).
ReplyDeleteJust fabulous. She is such a little cutie. The colors and lighting are perfect.
ReplyDeleteAdorable photo! Nice illustration of "pink" - I like what you did with the lighting in the second shot to draw a little more attention to her face.
ReplyDeleteDitto what everyone else said already! And I do like the spotlight effect better.
ReplyDeleteSo very, very charming.
ReplyDeleteVersion two really softens her face. She is delightfully "pink" and you've captured fun memory.
ReplyDeleteI like the version with the spotlight better, too. Very nice interpretation of pink!
