I don't know why I can't just learn from these experiments.
The 60mm up close on a tripod always wins!

This second pic was shot on a tripod with my favorite 28-135mm lens and a 20mm extender which lets me get physically closer to the subject than the lens alone, but auto focus does too much searching so I have to manually focus -- which is a problem with my bad eyesight, but I try anyway. It was washed out, not too bad but I did brighten it up in ACR and sharpen it.

ReplyDeleteboth of these are stunning, but I am partial to your 60MM too! Nice!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Yes, a good case for the 60mm.
ReplyDeleteBoth are impressive although I have to lean in favor of the 60mm.
ReplyDeleteThey are both gorgeous, but if I have to pick, I agree with you.
ReplyDeleteI agree - #1 is a touch better...richer colors. They both are gorgeous, though!!
ReplyDeleteLoving all the flower shots you've been posting this past week...and like everyone else, I pick #1 on this one as well! It's absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThese are both beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely and lucky you to have such choices. I too have enjoyed your flower shots.
ReplyDeleteTruly lovely--the soft colors and the fine focus. The framing sets it off perfectly.
ReplyDeleteNice to see the subtle differences between the two. Lovely colors and lighting
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! The winner is definitely the 60mm lens.
