The artist died before he finished this watercolor -- and it's unsigned. I don't know if you can see the sketching in the lower left quadrant. But, at any rate, I like this painting as it is. The white space looks like snow...
Sad commentary, but a beautiful painting. Sometimes the unfinished just SEEMS unfinished, and is just perfect as is . . .
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting, I would've never known it was unfinished if you hadn't told me. Good way to capture the theme.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting - don't tell anyone it is unfinished and they will never know!
ReplyDeleteI think it is a wonderful painting, just beautiful the way it is.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting, it looks finished to me too!
ReplyDeleteI figured you'd explain, so I tried to see how it was unfinished before I read the post. I couldn't figure it out. The painting and the photo look great.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful painting and I like the way it illustrates the theme.
ReplyDeleteVery touching story & a lovely painting. The unfinished part does look like snow. This is a wonderful tribute to the artist.
