This started out to be "bridges", but I took several shots from different angles
and decided I liked this one best -- breaking the rule of thirds.
It could have been used for the song lyrics "bridge over troubled waters", too.
This covered bridge was washed away in a flood some years ago and
rebuilt as a bit of "nostalgia" -- never to be used as a bridge for vehicles again.
I love this picture. This shows that sometimes rules are meant tot be broken. Beautiful
ReplyDeleteLove the symmetrical look of this! Love everything about it - great breaking the rules!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bridge, great the way ones' eyes travel through the covered bridge to the far side!
ReplyDeleteWOW--Impressive use of selective coloring! It realy emphasizes the geometry.
ReplyDeleteI love bridges!! Pretty red and white colors. Very nice shot.
ReplyDeleteThe color is beautiful and I like the way the light at the far end pulls my eye along the length of the bridge..
ReplyDeleteLove this photo, despite it's broken rule! Perfect for the theme!
ReplyDeleteNOw I am humming the song! I love covered bridges I must find one for this photo challenge - you captured this beautifully
ReplyDeleteIt really draws you into the photo - perfect excuse to break the rules.
ReplyDeleteThis was a perfect time to break the rule of thirds! And like Candyce, I am singing that song in my head!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with the exposure on this so that you can see some of the detail of the interior of the bridge. And, I think it might be one of the best examples of an effectively breaking the rule of thirds.
ReplyDeleteTurned out great! I think I misunderstood the theme when I did it. Maybe I can rename it "oops" LOL
