136: #103 Flowers

I gave up trying to grow roses. I had some pretty ones, but the deer ate the juicy buds and the leaves and the thorny stems and all I had left was wild shoots from below the graft. So I have to go somewhere to enjoy the roses. In this case, roses for sale at the grocery store. I'll visit some gardens early in June and admire their lovely roses -- and take a few more photographs.

  1. Lovely shot, Jo. The open rose looks like it's whispering sweet nothings to the closed one. ;-) Great capture.

I hope your deer don't make a visit to the grocery store garden center! ;-)

  3. I love yellow roses and your photo is spectacular! My MIL has a problem with the deer eating her roses, too. They're trying some deer repellent now, hopefully it will work.
