120: #189 Moving

The Akron Zoo has a jellyfish exhibit.
This was shot at 1.3 sec and not recognizable as a jellyfish
but I like the abstract swirl of the image.

The one below had a 1 second exposure and you can see that it's jellyfish.

I did it again! I meant to post this for tomorrow!

119: #293 Solitary

The park where I shot this doesn't have fields of trillium -- just single solitary flowers every now and then.

118: #005 Abandoned

Usually when a gas station closes around here it's torn down.
And usually there's a new business that's built on the site.
This one has been an empty shell for a long time.

Oops, I meant to schedule this for tomorrow morning.

117: #296 Song Lyrics

Anybody remember the Alan Parsons Project?

Just fiddling around with cloud pictures in Photoshop...
and Kayla's eye.

113: #209 On the Water

Pretty bird in the canal on the way to the marsh.
I like how the camera captured the sparkle of a drop of water on his beak.

112: #332 Tools of the Trade

I had the air conditioner serviced this morning.
It needed a new "capacitor" -- I think that's what he called it...

105: #035 Bridges

I was using my 75-300 lens and couldn't get the whole footbridge in one shot, so this is a Photoshopped panorama.

I'm almost caught up!

104: #261 Risky

This could have been "boys will be boys". They ran off on their own, off the trail and down a steep slope to the creek below. Their mothers were standing at the top of the embankment shouting at them to stay out of the creek and come back up RIGHT NOW.

Faces blurred for privacy.

Camouflage explained

Am I the only one who spotted him?

102: #213 Orange

What're YOU looking at shorty? Haven't you ever seen a white goose with an orange broken toe before?

101: #321 The Good Old Days

I didn't try it to see if it's a working pump, but it's a display by the Towpath Trail.

I remember that my great-aunt's farmhouse had a pump like this. Close to the pump they had a spring bubbling out of the ground with a small shed over it. That was where they kept perishables like milk from their cows and the butter they churned. And in the good old days the air was so clear there that you could see a million more stars at night than you saw in the city.

Cropped and vignetted in LR2.

100: #004 A Pair of...

A pair of swallows at the marsh. They fly so fast that I can't catch them in flight, but they were resting and posing for me this morning.

099: Free #06 Camouflage

A hunter in the woods? His camouflage is perfect! You'd think he was a tree stump.

091: #319 The Games We Play

Kids, God bless 'em, usually love simple games like batting a balloon back and forth.
But when the balloon got stepped on it popped and scared Kayla half to death!
